Free 10-Week GET FIT FOR SUMMER Training Programme

Designed around getting you into great shape by the time summer arrives. For cyclists and walkers. 

We realise not all of you will be riding Ride Holidays Martinborough Charity Fun Ride (15 Nov) and the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge (28 Nov), so you can set your own end-of-program goal.

Starting 19 September 2026

When – Starts 19 September. Finishing end of November.

What – Weekly training program with professional coach – Silas Cullen.

4 Different categories – You choose which plan is best for you.

  • Espresso (designed for a sub 5hr Taupo rider)
  • Latte (Approx. 5.30hrs around Taupo)
  • Cappuccino (Program for those who would be 6 hours plus)
  • Team Macchiato (Walking plan - Get Fit for Summer)

The above categories are purely indications based around how seriously you want to take this. For example – the Espresso program is designed for someone who can ride 3-4 times per week. Cappuccino is more for the weekend warrior. (Road, Gravel or MTB)

Cost

Free, but we would appreciate a donation to our Kids on Bikes charity https://givealittle.co.nz/org/takatrust ** Please – don’t ignore this as the kids we support don’t own bikes. It’s an important part of what we do. Thanks. (All donations are tax deductible)

A bit about your coach

Silas has been guiding tours for Ride Holidays for almost a decade and is well and truly part of the RH family. Originally from Wellington he now calls Lake Annecy, France his home. Silas has been coaching full time since the year 2000 after graduating with a degree in Sports Science, specialising in sports performance. Silas has perfected the use of online training programs although he encourages face-to-face feedback (skype etc). While on tour he is often seen (coffee in hand) talking to his athletes from all over the world.
